Opossums are next. These little guys don’t usually do any damage really. Can be found out wondering around at night in peoples back yard. We usually get a call because someone has saw one running around a back yard or there dog has attacked one. The one in the pic is one that dropped down in a recycling bin with her young and couldn’t get out. So we picked her up and relocated her with her young. Skunks can be found in and around homes and under buildings. They are great diggers and will dig holes under homes and trailers to make there home. They also dig and tear up yards looking for grubs and insects to feed on. They have a lot of young , but aren’t to hard to catch and remove. They will spray a horrible smelling spray when provoked. We have been catching these little guys for years. Skunks and bats are the highest carriers of rabies so please use caution around them. Make sure if you are messing with them that you don’t have any open sores and don’t get bit by one. If you do get bit make sure you keep it and call animal control. They will have to test the animal to make sure its not rabid so that you don’t have to go through a whole series of shots. They are nocturnal  in nature and should only be found out in the evening and night time hours. If you see one out during the daytime you need to call us asap so that we can get rid of it. It might be Rabid. A sick skunk is nothing to mess with. They can also carry fleas and ticks. They usually won’t harm or bother humans unless they feel threatened. They only way to tell if its Roof Rats or Squirrels in you’re attic is by the signs they leave. Its not easy to tell the difference if your not trained in what to look for and what the differences are. We look for the width of the paths going through the insulation, tracks on the duck work, droppings and what time a day you are hearing them. We look for rub marks and chewing of wires.
